Genesis of Lugaxis

The name of Lugaxis is composed of two roots: LUG, Celtic god of commerce, derived from LUX, light, clarity, and AXIS, way, orientation.

Co-creators of Lugaxis

Jean Claude Dubost

Jean Claude Dubost

For 20 years, Jean Claude Dubost lead the Carrefour Group’s customer research unit. He has produced consumer analyses in more than 20 countries across 4 continents. He created and managed the largest private consumer panel in France. He is passionate about the image of retailers and their marketing strategies. Jean Claude is an Agri Engineer and an MBA graduate at ESSEC.

Philippe Gaillard

Philippe Gaillard

Philippe Gaillard is an expert on expansion strategies. A specialist in Asian countries, he lived for 12 years in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Indonesia where he also held the position of Marketing Director. He analysed more than 30 Distribution Groups within the framework of M&A opportunities. Philippe has a degree in Business Sciences at the IAE in Rennes and holds a Master’s degree in Business Council. More recently, he also graduated from IMD Lausanne.

Éric Guzman

Éric Guzman

Eric Guzman is an expert in the Iberian and Latin American world, having spent 9 years in Spain and 9 years in Brazil for Carrefour’s local subsidiaries. There, he has implemented and developed, as well as in Argentina and Colombia, the methodologies and tools for expansion and customer knowledge of this group. He has also worked on Expansion issues for 8 years in various European countries, Asia (South Korea, Taiwan) and the Middle East (UAE, Egypt). He holds a DESS in Business Management specialising in the Iberian and Latin American world in Paris-Sorbonne.
